Coaching & Counselling Service Agreement
Welcome to Balm & Nook.
This agreement sets out how we will work together and what you can expect from this space. It is here to support clarity, safety, and a shared understanding of how sessions are held.
By booking or attending sessions, you are confirming that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below.
How this document works
Some parts of this agreement are practical and structured. Others are written in plain language.
Both matter.
The structured sections exist to hold clarity and protect both of us. The plain language is here to reflect how this work actually feels in practice.
Together, they describe the same relationship from different angles.
Practitioner confirmation
This agreement reflects how Balm & Nook services are currently offered.
It is maintained by the practitioner and may be updated when needed to reflect the evolving nature of the work.
It is applied consistently across all client work.
Electronic acceptance
This agreement is entered into electronically through booking, payment, email confirmation, invoice acceptance, or digital signature.
By doing so, you confirm that:
-
You have read and understood this agreement
-
You agree to its terms
-
You understand this forms a binding agreement for services
Electronic acceptance carries the same legal validity as a written signature under UK contract law, including the Electronic Communications Act 2000.
For clarity and record-keeping, a digital record of acceptance may be stored securely.
Professional standards
This work is guided by professional standards of care, confidentiality, integrity, and respect.
What this work is
Balm & Nook offers coaching and counselling that supports emotional wellbeing, reflection, and personal clarity.
This is a space for exploration, understanding, and movement — at a pace that feels right for you.
This service is not medical care, diagnosis, or emergency support, and should not be used as a substitute for clinical or psychiatric services.
You remain responsible for seeking appropriate external support where needed.
How sessions work
Sessions are 60 minutes and take place online.
The work is collaborative.
This means:
-
You are the expert in your own life
-
My role is to support reflection and awareness
-
We follow what feels most present and meaningful
-
tools or suggestions may be offered, never imposed
-
We move at your pace, not ahead of it
Sometimes sessions will feel more practical. Sometimes more reflective.
Often both. We stay responsive to what is needed.
No guarantee of outcomes
There are no fixed outcomes or guarantees.
This work is shaped by many things — your circumstances, timing, readiness, and life outside of sessions.
What is offered is a steady, supportive space for exploration and change.
Commitment to the work
A minimum commitment of 6 weekly sessions is requested.
This is not a rule of pressure, but a structure to support consistency and depth.
After 6 sessions, we pause and review together what feels right — whether to continue, adjust, or end.
The space you hold on your side
To support the integrity of sessions, you agree to:
-
Join from a private and quiet space
-
avoid being overheard or interrupted
-
not attend sessions while driving
-
Let me know if privacy is not possible, so we can adjust if needed
